Prayer Requests

An important part of life with God is prayer. To some people this seems like such a daunting thing, but really, it's easy. You don't have to assume any particular stance, start a certain way, or end with any particular phrase. You just have to talk. God knows you and your heart. He knows when you are talking to Him, and He knows when you're done. My favorite way to pray is to close my eyes, and say something like this:

God,
I love you so much. Thank you for everything that you give me. You are just so generous and gracious and wonderful and good! God, right now, I really want to be closer to You. Pull me in close, God, and grab me in such a way that I wouldn't ever want You to let go!!
(Amen)

Another important thing is praying for one another. I firmly believe that if you are hurting, there is no such thing as too many people praying for you. So, here's the deal: We (the internet world) want to know what you would like prayer for! We want to pray for you, and we want to hear about the answers to your prayers! So, feel free to shoot me an email (mackenzie.h.talley@gmail.com) anytime, with any prayer requests that you might have. For my sake, please:

-Use "Prayer Request" as the subject of the email
-Include your first name in the email. If you really don't want me to know what your name is, just make something cool up. God will know who we are talking about :)


I will then post a short note about it at the bottom of my next post, so that everyone who reads can shoot a prayer God's way for you. If you're a little shy about being mentioned in a post, make sure you include a note about that in your email, and I will just keep you in my personal prayers.
